On Friday 2nd March SCYM students had the huge honour to work with Nicola Benedetti and Wynton Marsalis. Nicola coached the senior string ensemble on Handel’s Concerto Grosso Opus 6 no. 9 and Wynton gave a masterclass to 13 year old trumpeter Owen Lee. Owen was told that ‘he was one of the best 13 year old trumpet players he’d ever heard’.
